1. Tire bulge and burst
First of all, let's talk about the frequently mentioned tire explosion accident. The steel wire layer inside the truck tire will break after a long time of use. If the tire is not replaced in time, the damage will become more serious as the tire travels, and eventually form a tire bulge.
The pressure resistance of the tire after bulging will become very uneven. At this time, the tire should be replaced in time with a tire changer. Many tire explosions are caused by maintenance personnel hitting the tire drum with crowbars or other tools.
The maximum tire pressure of the car is 10 kg/cm2, which is equivalent to the pressure on the bottom of the water column at the height of 30 floors. Assuming that the gas with tyre pressure of 5 kg per square centimeter explodes in a moment, the shock wave generated in a short distance is enough to break human bones.
2. Use the auxiliary start switch carefully
The auxiliary start switch on the truck is a frequently used part during maintenance. However, when shorting the auxiliary start switch, it is necessary to ensure that the transmission is in neutral, otherwise the truck will move in gear. If there is no driver in the cab during driving, it will cause serious consequences.
Although some engine ECUs need to receive the neutral switch signal at present, some models still have the phenomenon of short circuit of the neutral switch, so it is recommended that you check the gear position when using the auxiliary start switch.
3. The oil pipe joint shall not be removed
With the popularization of electronic control engine, the maintenance of engine has become more complex, and the removal of oil pipe joint needs more careful operation.
When the diesel engine equipped with high-pressure common rail works, the maximum fuel pressure generated inside it can reach more than 2000 bar. The pressure generated is equivalent to a car pressing on the nail plate. If it hurts people, it will have unimaginable consequences. The best way is to disassemble the oil pipe after the engine is completely stopped and the pressure relief is completed.
4. There are hidden dangers when the water tank cover is opened at will
When the engine runs too hot and the heat dissipation efficiency is poor, it will cause the water tank to be hot and even boil. At this time, avoid immediate flameout (the radiator will also stop working after flameout). After finding a safe place to park, keep the engine idling to fully dissipate heat.
Do not open the water tank cover before the temperature of the water tank is reduced to a safe level, otherwise the uncooled liquid will be sprayed out. The correct method is to wrap the water tank cover with a wet towel, slowly open the first switch (about 1/4 turn), and open the water tank cover only after the water vapor pressure is completely released.
5. Pay attention to the correct way to install the tire
Try to use special tools when installing tyres and operate in a safe environment. Some truck drivers worry that the screws are not firm enough when installing tires. They often fasten them by stepping on the crowbar. This will not only damage the screws, but also hurt the operator by the rebound of the crowbar.
6. The cab lifting must not be ambiguous
In the process of repairing the truck engine, it is often necessary to lift the cab and turn it over. Do not lift the cab to the bottom during operation. The locking device cannot work and may fall under the influence of external forces. If someone is present at the engine location, irreparable damage will be caused.
